We’re thrilled to announce that Emancipated Run Crew (ERC) will be attending **The National Running Show** this January, and we’d love for you to come visit us at **Stand C51**! Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a volunteer, or just curious about what we do, please stop by to say hello 👋🏾. We can’t wait to chat with you about everything from running to community building!

### ERC Conversations at the Run Hub

We're also excited to be hosting several **ERC Conversations** at the **Run Hub Club**, sponsored by **England Athletics**. Join us as we delve into empowering discussions on **Empowerment, Representation, and Community**.

#### **Saturday, 25th January:**

- **11:00 AM – ERC's Experience of the EA Affiliation Process**

Denise and Trojan will share their journey with the England Athletics affiliation process, offering tips and encouragement to those interested in signing up. *(EA has kindly proposed to arrange for someone from their team to be available for Q&A.)* – 30 minutes

- **2:00 PM – The Importance of Volunteering (TBC)**

Volunteering plays a crucial role in growing our community and supporting the wider running scene. Learn how giving back makes a difference – 30 minutes

**Sunday, 26th January:**

- **10:30 AM – Tips for Registering Your Organisation as a Community Interest Company (CIC)**

Denise and Trojan will guide you through the process of registering as a CIC, sharing insights and advice for anyone looking to make their passion for running into a formal organisation. – 30 minutes

- **2:00 PM – The Importance of Volunteering (Repeat Session)**

For those who missed it on Saturday, we’ll be revisiting the significance of volunteering and how it can transform the running community. – 30 minutes

ABOUT US...

Emanicpated Run Crew (ERC) was set up in 2019 by sisters Denise and Julia Stephenson (@we_run_we_eat) and friend Trojan Gordon (@thebeardedrunner) who were determined to challenge the lack of diversity in grassroots running by creating a virtual space where black and brown runners can support and encourage each other whatever our running goal. We will help you to run your own race and in doing so encourage you to Run Free!

Emancipated Run Crew is a community for people with black and brown heritage, which exists to support and encourage black and brown people to get active. We aim to help people meet (and often exceed!) their running and movement objectives. It really helps when people join if we are able to share their story so far and what they they are hoping to achieve by joining.
